Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:
Stem Tomatoes: 4 Big (Preferred)
Tamarind: 1/2 Lemon Size
Salt to taste
Oil
Cumin Seeds: 1 Tsp
Urad Dal: 1 Tsp
Red chillies: 6
Green Chillies: 4
Garlic: 3 Cloves
Curry Leaves



Procedure:

  • Soak tamarind with little water.
  • In a hot pan put some oil, add Cumin seeds, urad dal, red chillies and green chillies.
  • Add tomatoes whole in that pan fry for 10 min.
  • Grind the above mixture with tamarind paste and one garlic clove.
  • Add salt while grinding.
  • Season at the end with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chillies and garlic.
  • Serve with Idli, Dosa or rice.
