Raw Banana(Green Plantain)- 2
Onion- 1 Medium
Tamarind- 1/2 Lemon size
Mustard: 1/2 Tsp
Jeera: 1/2 Tsp
Urad Dal: 1/2 Tsp
Chana Dal: 1/2 Tsp
Garlic: 2 Cloves
Curry Leaves: 1 String
Red chilli powder: 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Oil - 2 Tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar/ Jaggary -1 Tsp
Procedure:
- Cut the banana into 2 pieces and boil in salt water for 5 minutes.
- Remove the Peel from boiled banana and cut into 1" rounds.
- In a pan add oil, add mustard when splutter add jeera, urad, chana dals and red chilies.
- Add Garlic and curry leaves then add onions and fry till golden brown.
- Then put Tamarind pulp in the pan.
- Let it boil for 5 minutes.
- At this moment add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt if needed.
- Then add banana pieces and let it boil for 10 more minutes.
- Add sugar/ jaggary to the preparation at the end.
- Serve hot with rice.
